10/23: Fengler drove non-stop for the victory.
1924: Race halted 80 laps short of scheduled distance due to track damage.
1970: Al Unser, Sr. finished at half throttle because he was running out of fuel.
2000: In CART's final year at the track, Juan Montoya breaks the race record.
