The Track
Denver Doings
1952: Race red flagged after 4 laps due to extreme dust condition. Track was watered and race restarted.
1947-55: The Pikes Peak Hill Climb counted for championship points.
1965-69: The Pikes Peak Hill Climb counting for championship points returns.
1966: No championship points awarded.
1990: First attempt at a CART street race in downtown Denver lasted two years. The course was 1.9-miles
long with 16 turns.
2002: Bruno Junqueira leads every lap from pole position.
