Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival 2000 Photos

Ardent Alligator In Action

Ardent Alligator: Originally built in 1929, this car, after many modifications, was driven by Miles Collier and Cameron Argetsinger. It won the 1949 Watkins Glen Grand Prix with Miles Collier driving. Finished third in 1950 with only high gear. It was an absolute pleasure to see this car "at speed" on the streets of Watkins Glen, the way it was meant to be "displayed". For more on this car, see this feature historical article.
