Amazing Win: After 146 Trans-Am starts, Randy Ruhlman finally won at Long Beach. However, at Cleveland, his victory was even more amazing. He destroyed his car in practice causing him to miss qualifying, fly down his fabricator from Minnesota, have his crew work 18 straight hours literally through the night, and start from the back of the field. Despite all that, he still won the race, his second in three starts, sandwiched around a second place finish, putting him firmly in the points lead.
