The July ranking features the top 15 American driver prospects for open wheel road racing. The next ranking will appear on August 29, 2012.


  Driver Last Month
1 Conor Daly (GP3)
After a poor month, came back with a vengeance, nabbing a fifth and second at Silverstone, a second and third at Hockenheim, and a jump from 11th to fifth in the standings.

2 Alexander Rossi (F-Renault 3.5)
Continues to struggle in what should be a breakout year. A fifth in Moscow was his best in four races, dropping three spots to 11th in the points.

3 Gabby Chaves (Star Mazda)
Had another solid month (third and fourth at Toronto and two thirds at Edmonton) which moved him into second in the standings.

4 Sage Karam (Star Mazda)
Also had a solid month despite a DNF at Toronto. Came back to finish third after starting 21st in the second race. At Edmonton, had two seconds including a pole, moving him into third in the standings.

5 Connor De Phillippi (Star Mazda)
A miserable month. Only qualified in the top ten once in four races, with a best finish of sixth at Edmonton. This moved him from the points lead to fourth.

6 Spencer Pigot (USF2000)
USF2000 did not compete this month.

7 Felix Serralles (British F3)
A super weekend at the Norisring, taking two seconds and then a win, moving him up a sport to third in the championship.

8 Wyatt Gooden (F2000)
A fifth and a second in NJ moved him into second in the standings.

9 Jack Eidson (Skip Barber)
Wins keep coming. He now has six in 10 races for the points lead.

10 Kyle Connery (F2000)
Skipped the only F2000 race at NJ, thus being idle for the month.

11 Brandon Newey (F16000)
Despite an 11th and third at NJ, he still holds onto the points lead.

12 Scott Anderson (USF2000)
USF2000 did not compete this month.

13 Trent Hindman (USF2000)
USF2000 did not compete this month.

14 Jack Mitchell, Jr. (Skip Barber)
Enters the rankings with all podium finishes -- three wins, five seconds, and two thirds in 10 races. He's second in the standings.

Pacific F2000 did not compete this month.
